GAURAV GUPTA SHOWCASES AN OTHER PLANETARY COLLECTION TO END DAY FOUR AT LAKMÉ FASHION WEEK X FDCI PRESENTED BY NEXA

Mumbai, Jio World Centre, 15th October 2022:  Starland; a collection by Gaurav Gupta presented by NEXA at the Lakmé Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI.

The collection is inspired by the infinity of the cosmos. An extra-terrestrial other planetary zone; travelling through space and galaxies. It inspired our infinite shapes, galactic-meteoric burst embroideries, comet like construction. And the cosmic colors, almost celestial, like the blackness of space, Jupiter gold, galactic lava grey and space teal. We were extremely playful with menswear which again drew inspiration from astrology and astronomy—sharp embroideries and cuts. An abstract interpretation of how a new world would look like

A celebration of the cosmic energy; . this collection is adorned with thousands of crystals, scattered on bare skin like shooting stars, that radiate iridescence as the night falls. Couture as both fantasy and out-worldly surrounded by an orb-like energy that immersed the audience and transport them to a land; untouched and unseen. Gaurav’s couture collection is the perfection and chaos of galaxy’s enchanted realms.
